Arla is working actively to achieve the targets for recyclable packaging and to phase out the use of fossil plastics. They invest in research and collaborate with suppliers to find innovative solutions and materials that are easier to recycle. Challenges include the availability of sufficient amounts of recycled and renewable materials. Arla has had fossil-free transport in Sweden since 2018, and continues to further reduce emissions by increasing the proportion of trucks powered by biogas and electricity.
